Our comprehensive permanent makeup training syllabus encompasses a blend of theoretical learning and practical application to ensure a holistic education in cosmetic tattooing. Our program covers a range of essential modules:

Fundamentals of Permanent Makeup

Introduction to permanent makeup, understanding pigments, color theory, and skin undertones.

Modern Microblading Techniques

Detailed training in eyebrow techniques, including shaping, strokes, and symmetry for natural-looking enhancements.

Lip and Eyeliner Tattooing

Day 1: Topics: Cleaning, Disinfection, Sterilization, and Safety/ Equipment & Supplies 

9:00 AM-10:00 AM- Topic: Cleaning, Disinfection, Sterilization, and Safety

  • Introduction to the Academy

  • Safety and Classroom Expectations

  • Safety Rules Regulations, Licensure

  • Chapter Overview on Legal Matters and Insurance Options

10:00 AM-11:00 AM- Above Training Blood Borne Pathogens

11:00 AM-1:00 PM-

  • Checklist + Syllabus+Student Kit

  • Workbooks

  • Introduction to Dermopigmentation

  • Introduction to techniques for lip shading, powder brows, hair stroke eyebrows, upper eyeliner, designer eyeliner, and lower eyeliner

  • Lecture on Machine Theory; an overview of each modality and the differences between them.

1:00 PM-1:30 PM- Lunch

1:30 PM-3:30 PM- Demonstration and go over different permanent makeup techniques on paper and latex. Learn and practice different drawing techniques important to master before the application of pigment. Practice on latex with a demonstration from the instructor.

3:30 PM-6:30PM- Practice on paper in a workbook with a demonstration from the instructor.

Instruct students to take the workbook and book home to begin learning and practicing before the next day of class. 

MUST finish Above Blood Borne Pathogen Training which takes 75 minutes to watch the video and then to take the exam.

Day 2: Topic Cleaning, Disinfection, Sterilization, and Safety

9:00 AM-10:00 AM- Lecture and chapter review questions on the chapter “Health & Hygiene” 

10:00 AM-1:00 PM- Health Department Requirements and public safety lecture. The instructor will play a presentation to demonstrate the setup and breakdown of the treatment area. Students will learn the importance of proper treatment room setup and how to protect oneself from blood-borne pathogens. Students will learn the importance of hand washing and wearing personal protective equipment during procedures. 

1:00 AM-1:30 PM- Lunch

1:30 PM-5:30 PM- The instructor will share an Infection Prevention Control Plan and lead a lecture on sanitation, record keeping, consent and post-procedure instructions, disposal of waste, care of pigment, facilities, and equipment.

Day 3: Topics: Skin Analysis & Color Theory and Effects

9:00 AM-1:00 PM- Topic: Skin Analysis Students will learn the different layers of skin and the functions of each layer. Students will learn the different types of lesions and abnormalities they may come across when performing a skin analysis on a prospective client.

1:30 PM-4:30 PM- Topic: Skin Analysis Lecture on Skin Analysis Theory, healing 

4:30 PM-5:30 PM- Topic: Color Theory and Effects Lecture on differences between cool and warm undertones.

Day 4: Topics: Equipment/Supplies and Color Theory and Effects

9:00 AM-12:00 PM- Topic: Equipment/Supplies Chapter Reading and Review: “Rules for a Precise Line” and “Needle Classification”

Color Theory Presentation on the color wheel and primary, secondary and tertiary colors 

12:00 PM-12:30 PM- Lunch

12:30 PM-5:30PM- Topic: Color Theory and Effects Students will learn about permanent makeup color theory, go over book chapters Colorimetry vs The Science of Pigments and The Chemistry of Pigments

Day 5: Color Theory and Effects

9:00 AM-12:00 PM- Topic: Color Theory and Effects We will discuss industry pigment leaders in regard to color theory. Discussion on advantages and disadvantages between organic and inorganic pigment lines.

12:00 PM-12:30 PM- Lunch

12:30 PM-5:30 PM- Topic: Color Theory and Effects 

Color selection and protocol for eyebrows for powder eyebrows and hair stroke eyebrows

Color selection and protocol for lip shading in varying saturations 

Color selection and protocol for eyeliner and stardust/shaded eyeliner

Day 6: Topic: Color Theory and Effects

9:00 AM-12:00 PM- Fitzpatrick Typing Students will pair up and analyze each other’s skin to decipher skin tonalities and overall conditions that may be present. Look at celebrities in the workbook and decide on skin and lips 

12:00 PM-12:30 PM- Lunch

1:30 PM-5:30 PM- Chart out each pigment in water and paper to see the tone. Understand saturation differences and goals for eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner. Students can save to hang in the studio. Lecture and research on pigments in the student kit Lecture on different pigments for eyebrows, eyeliner, lips 

Go over the color wheel to understand complimentary colors. Lecture on color correction for dark-pigmented/hyper-pigmented lips. As a class, we will discuss the potential outcomes of using an incorrect color. Examples of coverups to take on and not to take on.

Day 7: Color Theory and Effect and Client Consultation 

9:00 AM-1:00 PM- Topic: Color Theory and Effects Presentation on color selection and videos of instructor demonstrating implantation of pigment for six different services: powder ombre eyebrows, hair stroke eyebrows, lip shading, eyelash enhancement, lower eyeliner, and shaded eyeliner 

1:00 PM-1:30 PM- Lunch

1:30 PM- 3:30 PM- Topic: Client Consultation Lecture and questions about the procedure process, contraindications, healing process, and follow-up appointments. 

3:30 PM-5:30 PM- Lecture on the Basis of a Permanent Makeup Consultation, The Importance of Communication, Intake, and Consent Forms. Students will learn how to answer client questions, and properly relay verbal aftercare instructions and necessary written instructions.

Day 8: Client Consultation/Application of Pigment 

9:00 AM-10:00AM- Topic: Client Consultation Review chapter An Effective Consultation 

10:00 AM-12:00 PM- Lecture on how to handle a difficult client. Students will practice consultation with each other and go over expectations, forms, and the healing process. 

12:00 PM-12:30 PM- Lunch

12:30 PM- 1:30PM- Topic: Application of Pigment for Eyebrows 

Lecture on The Art of Drawing Eyebrows, correcting imperfections of the face, and matching permanent makeup to face shapes. Students will be given drawings of facial asymmetries and shown how to correct them on a sheet of paper.

12:30 PM- 5:30 PM- Activities

Activity 1: Students will practice drawing eyebrows of celebrities without eyebrows 

Activity 2: Practice drawing each other’s eyebrows and present to class recommendations.

Day 9: Application of Pigment for Lips and Eyeliner

9:00 AM-1:00 PM- Lecture and theory on lip shading, mistakes, protocol

Activity 1: Practice drawing each other’s lips and present to class recommendations.

Activity 2: Students will utilize their digital machines while practicing lip shading techniques on latex skin.

1:00 PM-1:30 PM- Lunch

1:30 PM-3:30 PM- Theory on eyeliner application. Video training on eyeliner application

3:30 PM-5:30 PM-

Activity 1: Practice stretching each other’s eyelids

Activity 2: Students will utilize their digital machines while practicing the eyeliner lining technique on 3D latex skin.

(9 Hours on Application of Pigment)

Day 10: Application of Pigment for eyebrows, lips, and eyes

9:00 AM-1:00 PM- Latex work for drawing and shading eyebrows. Latex work for hair stroke application.  

1:00 PM-1:30 PM- Lunch

1:30 PM-3:30 PM- Latex work for drawing and shading lips

3:30 PM-6:30 PM- Instructor will check technique and will give constructive criticism 

(10 Hours on Application of Pigment)

Day 11: Application of Pigment for eyebrows, lips, and eyes

9:00 AM-1:00 PM- Latex work for drawing and shading eyebrows. Latex work for hair stroke application.  

1:00 PM-1:30 PM- Lunch

1:30 PM-3:30 PM- Latex work for drawing and shading lips

3:30 PM-5:30 PM- Instructor will check technique and will give constructive criticism 

Take home the machine and practice techniques until the next class date. Will need to turn in latex for grading before beginning live models.

(10 Hours on Application of Pigment)

Day 12: Application of Pigment for eyebrows, lips, and eyes 

9:00 AM-12:00 PM- Students will set up the treatment area and get ready for live models.

Students will consult with the first live model and review the release form, and color selection and receive an instructor’s approval before moving forward. Students will perform treatment with the instructor in close proximity. Once the procedure is finished, the students will provide verbal aftercare instructions and give the live model a written copy of the instructions.  Once the live model leaves, the students will clean and disinfect the work area.

12:00 PM-12:30 PM- Lunch

12:30 PM- 1:00 PM- Students will set up the treatment area and get ready for live models.  

1:00 PM-6:30 PM- Students will consult with the next live model and review the release form, and color selection and receive an instructor’s approval before moving forward. Students will perform treatment with the instructor in close proximity. Once the procedure is finished, the students will provide verbal aftercare instructions and give the live model a written copy of the instructions.  Once the live model leaves, the students will clean and disinfect the work area.

Students will put together their portfolios including client before and after photos. The instructor will review and give the student feedback.

Day 13: Application of Pigment for eyebrows, lips, and eyes

9:00 AM-1:00 PM- Latex work for drawing and shading eyebrows. Latex work for hair stroke application.  

1:00 PM-1:30 PM- Lunch

1:30 PM-3:30 PM- Latex work for drawing and shading lips

3:30 PM-5:30 PM- Instructor will check technique and will give constructive criticism 

Take home the machine and practice techniques until the next class date. Will need to turn in latex for grading before beginning live models.

Day 14: Application of Pigment for eyebrows, lips, and eyes 

9:00 AM-12:00 PM- Students will take the exam and turn in chapter review questions 

Students will send in work for constructive criticism. We will review as a class. and place orders for additional supplies.

1:00 PM-4:30 PM- Students will consult with the next live model and review the release form, and color selection and receive an instructor’s approval before moving forward. Students will perform treatment with the instructor in close proximity. Once the procedure is finished, the students will provide verbal aftercare instructions and give the live model a written copy of the instructions.  Once the live model leaves, the students will clean and disinfect the work area.
