The academy provides education in all phases of esthetics. The graduate will have knowledge of the business skills of today's industry as well as the theory and practical skills required by Colorado state laws. The graduate will have the background and skills to pass the state board licensing exam and to work as an esthetician.

Important Information Regarding Our Esthetician Program

Our esthetician program meets Colorado’s state regulatory requirements. Everything we teach helps students be prepared to enter the medspa world.

CODE OF COLORADO REGULATIONS 4 CCR 731-1 Office of Barber and Cosmetology Licensure:

Esthetician: 20 credit hours or 600 contact hours, covering at least the following course topics: facials and skin care; facial makeup; hair removal; laws and rules; management, ethics, interpersonal skills and salesmanship; and disinfection, cleaning, and safe work practices. The number of hours devoted to each of these topics must be substantially equivalent to those provided in accredited schools approved by DPOS or CCCS.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Aesthetic Treatments Covered in our Esthetician training

Facials

Students will understand basic facial treatments and techniques. The importance of performing a skin analysis, different exfoliation methods and their benefits, benefits of facial massage, and different massage strokes.

Skin Care

Students will understand basic skin care knowledge including, skin types, different toners, and their benefits, the importance of moisturizing as well as sun protection, skin analysis, ingredients list, and more.

Waxing

Students will learn different waxing techniques for different areas of the body. As well as, before and after care of the skin

Medspa Overview

Students will learn different information regarding advanced treatments such as laser technologies, radiofrequency microneedling, cosmetic injection therapy, and more. An overview of required training in the state of Colorado to move into these specialties.

Brow and Lash Design

Students will learn how to do the following treatments, brow wax and tint, brow tint with henna, brow lamination, and lash lift and tint. How to determine candidacy as well as before and aftercare.

Facial Makeup

Students will learn basic facial makeup techniques such as color correcting, color matching, tools, and shadow contouring.

Advanced Exfoliation Overview

Chemical Peels-Student will learn how to consult for chemical peels, determine candidacy, do skin analysis, application, and before and aftercare.

Microdermabrasion-Student will learn how microdermabrasion works, key components, benefits, equipment overview, candidacy, application, and before and aftercare.

Dermaplane- Students will learn the benefits of dermaplaning, how it works, benefits, tools, candidacy, and before and after care.

Clinical Hours

Our Esthetician curriculum requires 130 Clinical Hours after the initial course weeks.

Blocks of time are available for sign up. Student’s client volunteers also need to be scheduled in addition to the student’s clinical hours.

Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Evening Hours

Wednesday through Friday 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM
